Ragen, married with Elissa Messenger, is a wealthy ex-messenger. He stopped traveling around with the letters when he and Elissa got their first child, Marya, and started to help out in Cob's Wardershop instead. When Cob died Ragen was accepted as Guildmaster in the Warders Guild. In 331 AR they got their second child, Arlen Messenger, which they named after Arlen Bales.
